Very plentiful and delicious food. Very friendly staff. The price-performance ratio is right
Great green sauce and knuckle of pork
Food is very good and tasty
Very nice supper, staff helpful and friendly, food was excellent, I will return.
Wonderful Food. Great People.
Wonderful meal, eveyone was exceptionally helpful making recommendations for both food and accompanying drinks. Food was excellent.
Have become aware of the restaurant through a voucher. The Wiener Schnitzel was very mediocre. They are also very inflexible when it comes to drinks, the maximum size for soft drinks is 0.2l. You are almost forced to order 2-3 drinks
With an amazing view of the dome, this restaurant is located in a quiet corner near the river main. Trusting the review we entered and were immediately welcomed by the personnel. The meat was very good and the service quite fast. We did not try the dessert because the portions were big and we were full. The price was fair
Very friendly waiters, good beer, good local cuisine.
A bit old school - but in the best sense! Not modern and chic, but classic attentive service. Delicious food and also here they know how a fresh light must be tapped. The boss is also very nice, by the way. Such places have to survive the Corona crisis, so that we will not only have the system catering and chains to choose from at some point !!!
One of the best typical German menus for years, dumpling soup, Sauerbraten, Frankfurter Teller. Awesome. Great food
The food is great. Especially the asparagus. Unfortunately, this seasonal dish is the only vegetarian on the menu. The schnitzel should also taste very good.
Great Service
Great atmosphere, good food, but above all an excellent service! Perfectly simple and simply perfect.
Great German traditional crispy pork hock. Deeeliisshhh. Dark man's beer was pretty good too. I be coming back here again on my next Germany trip.
Authentic German food that was above average quality. What made it special was friendly warm smiles of the staff. I took my client there and had a good time.
Open since 1741, fantastic food, what more can be said
Came here for dinner last week. Had the venison steak with is pretty good. Place has a cosy feel with small tables good for 6 persons each and the staff is friendly
Olde worlde German restaurant. Decent environment and nteresting humour from the staff but the food doesn't quite meet expectations or offer particularly good value.
Never disappointed with the meals served in this restaurant!
It was fantastic - great food and atmosphere.
Great food, great atmosphere
Food very good. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. We recommend.
A popular long-established restaurant founded in 1704 that Bungo Goethe also visited. It is close to Römer Square and right next to the cathedral. We entered by jumping in at 18:00 immediately after opening, but more than half of the tables were reserved seats, so it may be better to make a reservation or visit early! ? I ate stew of bone-in pork shank (ice vine) and a dish with boiled eggs in grunese sauce, but I was impressed by the ice vine! ! It's full of volume, but I want you to eat it! I drank two glasses of beer for just under 40 euros.
Nice atmosphere and really good food. The Saurbraten was fantastic.
The soup in the front dish is very light and nice. The pork skin of the main dish is crispy and crisp. The meat inside is tender and juicy. You can taste it!
Great traditional food and the beer wasn't bad either
The food was delicious! The service was NOT!
Both food and service are of good quality at very reasonable price. Desserts are just too amazing. We have tried Warm apple strudel with vanilla sauce and Apple-cinnamon sorbet with "drunken" morello cherries. Highly recommended.
Good food and service. Very historic
The Schwein Haksen is delicious and the potatoes are so good and the beer mug is so cute
You can find traditional German food and good beer in this place. I recommed this restaurant.
For dinner in my last night in town, I want to make sure that i had a good last impression of the city. I am so glad that I found this place. It is off of the main busy areas (but not too far off). Lost of seating outside and it was so nice an relaxing. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was just what i wanted. I will defiantly be back on my next visit.
Did like the service and the food. Very friendly people.
1. Tomato Soup This soup is a long soup and looks like a luxurious tomato ketchup sauce with blue herbs. If you have meat or bread with it, you can eat it. It is recommended for those who love tomatoes or want to taste the sour tomato soup. I won't let you do it again. 2. The creamy flavor is strong in the cream sauce. The meat itself was a greasy boiled meat and it went well with the mushrooms. It wasn't a favorite part, but the overall harmony was good and it was delicious. The noodles that are labeled Noodles are fried in butter or oil. I think it came out but the sauce is so easy The salad came with a refreshing sauce (not sour), corn, carrots, and some vegetables. 3. The atmosphere is nice and friendly. When I went, it wasn't noisy, so it seemed to be nice to have a conversation.
tastes good!
Friendly staff and great food in a nice environment. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow on the day we were there.
Good typical dinner in Frankfurt. Very kind location and right price
First there was a Markklößchen soup reminiscent of grandma soup. Simply delicious ? For the main course there were fresh chanterelles with a little veal schnitzel, served with rösti. A little dream! The veal schnitzel super tender and excellent fried. If you like German cuisine, you will love it here! 5 out of 5 stars! Keep it up
Kind and warm chefs!
A good place un a ils style restaurant. You can have typical food like 'suppen', Frankfurt plate, schnitzel, applestruden and so on
Having spent some time looking for a good restaurant where I could enjoy great local specialties with friendly service, I wandered into Zum Storch on a hot June night hoping for a table for one. I was warmly greeted by the manager and seated immediately. A local dark beer was recommended and quickly poured for me to enjoy while I pored over the menu. I was lucky enough to get to try some famous white asparagus with hollandaise sauce as my appetiser, which was delicious. Not too heavy, so I had plenty of room for more food! I selected the mixed Frankfurt platter, which came loaded with meat - a frankfurter (sausage, not a native of Frankfurt, that would be weird), a Nuremberg sausage, pork loin, meatloaf and more. All dlvery tasty and served with some fantastic spicy local mustard too. I had to sample some of the famous apfelwein while in Frankfurt and was pleasantly surprised - it was essentially a dry (hard) cider, which slipped down a treat. Strawberries marinated in Gran Marnier with cream was the recommended special dessert, which was just the right dessert for a hot evening. All this was then washed down with a mispel (Calvados with a plum) and an espresso. I only speak a very small amount of German, but was made to feel welcome immediately and the staff all slipped seamlessly into English for me. Service was prompt, attentive and very friendly. Next time I'm in Frankfurt, I'll definitely return, and I would recommend it to anyone as well. It's got a large outdoor seating area, and is also very spacious inside with room for large groups, families and even solo travellers like me.
Great restaurant, very friendly staff, and great food.
Love it best schnitzel best steak too! German and fresh food really nice owner!!! Thanks to Alex and family. Service is really friendly
Great food and friendly staff. Cool setting.
Very good!
Worth to visit )
This restaurant has classic German dishes in a wonderfully old world ambiance. The waiter has been there for years and the owners frequently serve the tables. They cater to needs in a way that non-Europeans are more used to, which means being more attentive, asking if you want another dessert, or asking if things are ok. Additionally you can enjoy a long relaxing meal if one wishes without being rushed. Their German and English are flawless. The food is very good and changes frequently for the season. The name of the restaurant means “to the stork” and there is a stuffed one inside. I visit the city on business and my German colleagues love the food there. Be sure to have the Frankfurt Green Sauce if it’s in season on potatoes or the Schnitzel. The soups are excellent as well. The dessert menu is fantastic and they have a full bar. For a soup, a higher end main dish, and 2 beers I paid 35 Euros including a tip.
The slightly touristy feel of this place should not put one off. Good German food, pleasant staff, fine location and good value. Recommended.
Good food. Great service. Friendly staff. Nice ambiance
